Shelton Cheatham stepped into the role of the 2-Year Representative early in his membership with the club. He shares that the Wickenburg Saddle Club eagerly welcomed my children and my family.  It is my goal to help the club grow and continue to welcome like-minded equine families. His journey in the industry began early. Coming from a family of former ranchers and growing up in FFA and 4-H, barn yard noises have been the music of his life. He can’t remember a time without horses, sheep, cows or pigs to care for. Shelton works to teach the next generation that leadership is built through inclusion, showing young riders how to carry themselves with the same character in defeat as they do in victory, and encouraging them to lift others up along the way. Rooted in strong principles of animal stewardship, he instills the belief that the horse always comes before self and that true horsemanship begins with respect.
